Our Mission The Nacogdoches Parks, Recreation, and Cemetery Department strive to enrich the lives of Nacogdoches citizens by providing quality parks and facilities as well as diverse recreational and educational opportunities.
The Parks and Recreation Department offices are located at 1112 North Street in the Nacogdoches Community Center. The recreation center includes a gymnasium, weight room, arts and crafts room, aerobic/dance and martial arts room, gymnastics area, and meeting rooms. A variety of classes and activities are offered for people of all ages throughout the year at the recreation center.
The Parks and Recreation Department is also responsible for the maintenance of all city parks, rental of park pavilions, adult softball fields, Liberty Hall, the Community Center meeting rooms and, during the summer, Temple spray station.
