The Planning Department is responsible for current and long-range planning. Current planning includes zoning, subdivision review, site plan review, grant work (state and local), downtown redevelopment, community development projects such as HOME housing rehabilitation program, and other day-to-day activities. Long-range planning involves comprehensive planning for areas of the city and the city as a whole.
