Events 2016
Visit the Sterne-Hoya House Museum & Library on March 4th and 5th to celebrate 180 years of Texas Independence. 
Sterne-Hoya House Museum & Library - 211 S. Lanana St. 

March 4th - Reception from 6-8 p.m.

March 5th - Family day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
We will have crafts and activities related to Texas Independence that the whole family will enjoy!

April 16th - Azalea Art Day 
Sterne-Hoya House Museum & Library
10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Crafts and activities, some with historic roots, centered around the beautiful azalea plants at the Sterne-Hoya House Museum & Library. Crafts will include: flower pounding, homemade sun catchers, watercolors made from flowers and other activities. This event is free and appropriate for all ages. Some activities may be messy, so please dress appropriately. 

Summer (June, July, August)
Nacogdoches Summer Scavenger Hunt
We will be bringing back our very popular Summer Scavenger Hunt for 2016. Visit all local museums, answer two trivia questions and turn in your completed form to be entered to win a prize package. Scavenger Hunt sheets are available at each of the local museums beginning in late May.

September 17th
Durst-Taylor Historic House & Gardens
10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
This fun filled day will give visitors the opportunity to experience history in a hands-on way. Activities include flower pounding, weaving on a cardboard loom, herb planting and more.
