HomeSafe Program
The Nacogdoches Police Department, Nacogdoches Treatment Center, and Alzheimer's Association have come together to create a program that assists in the safe and timely return of Nacogdoches Citizen's who may have wandered away from home.

The program utilizes a specially designed database that contains information about persons who are suffering from Alzheimer's or some other form of dementia. A picture is available for easy identification and the database is fully searchable on all characteristics of an individual. The database also contains information such as Hobbies, favorite foods, favorite clothes, Military service, ext. to help the officer identify themselves as friendly because sometimes persons suffering form Alzheimer or other dementia may become confused about why a police officer wishes to speak with them. The database is in a secure format and has special security to make sure the information is only viewed by those who have the proper credentials. None of the information in this database will be shared with any other entities.

You can go by the Nacogdoches Treatment Center to sign up. We do request a picture with the submission of a form. If you don't have a recent picture the Treatment Center can take a picture for you.
