eBook Cataloging Update

Thanks to SFA Steen Library Staff, our Overdrive eBooks can now be found on the library's catalog. Remember, they're free to download and you never incur any library fines. Ask a library staff person how to get started downloading free eBooks and eAudiobooks!

Family Day Out

Dates: 2nd and 4th Saturdays each month

Time: 2:30-4:30pm

Ages: All

Registration: Free, no registration.

Enjoy a movie, Xbox games, board games, coloring and more that’s suitable for all ages.  Call 559-2970 to learn each week’s movie listing.  

Tabletop Games

Dates: September 12, October 3, November 7, December 5

Time: 5:30pm

Ages: All

Registration: Free, no registration.

Join us for a gaming evening with such favorites as Guillotine, King of Tokyo, Munchkin, Catan, Coup, Snake Oil, The Resistance and more for teens and adults.  Younger kids can play Apples to Apples, Clue, Monopoly and whatever strikes their fancy.  Come play with us!  

Family Game Night

Date: November 11

Time: 5:30pm

Ages: All

Registration: Free, no registration.

Bring the family for games and activities the whole clan will enjoy!  We’ll have fun stuff suitable for a wide variety of interests and skill levels. Plus, the SFA School of Art 2D Design class will be on hand to demonstrate screen printing and kids will get to make and go home with a free custom t-shirt!

International Games Day Celebration

Date: November 19

Time: 12:00pm

Ages: All

Registration: Please register by November 18.

Celebrate games in all forms on this international holiday.  We’ll have tabletop games, Xbox games and DIY games to challenge all skill levels and interests.

Amazing Race: Library Edition

Date: December 9

Time: 5:30pm

Ages: All

Registration: Please register by December 8.

Call on your best buddies or the whole family and form groups to navigate challenges and puzzles around the library, complete with landmarks, detours and roadblocks, to find out who will win the title of Amazing Race champions! Children should be accompanied by an adult.

How To Get A Library Card
Fill out an application form and present proof of residence. Proof of residence can be an ID that shows your current address or any other item that has been mailed to you. Children under 17 years of age must have a parent's signature. First card is free; replacement card fee $1.00. 

Circulation Policy
Books from the "new book section" - 2 weeks. All other books - 4 weeks. Audio Books on CD or cassette - 4 weeks. Entertainment videos/DVDs - 7 days. Non-Fiction videos - 2 weeks LIMITS : 3 non-fiction books per call number; 8 cassettes, 5 CDs; 4 videos or DVDs per family. No limit on fiction books. FINES : 10 cents a day on books and cassettes, $1.00 a day on videos and DVDs. RENEWALS : Can be done in person or telephone (559-2970). Limit one renewal. An item cannot be renewed if another customer is waiting for that item.
