Municipal Court combined forces with Txdot and Union Pacific to provide safety awareness tips at the Annual Nacogdoches Blueberry Festival 2018. Festival goers received handouts, free prizes and had a chance to interact with live simulations. The court created a strait line for participants to walk while wearing drunk goggles donated by TMCEC showing the dangers of being impaired. Txdot provided a life size driving simulation to put an emphasis on how dangerous distracted driving is. Union Pacific aided the cause by educating the public about rail road safety. This event attracts thousands of people and the court was honored to be apart of such a large community event and to work with other organizations for a common goal, safety awareness and prevention.
