What if I have a court date or other business at the municipal court?
The City of Nacogdoches Municipal Court is rescheduling all March court proceedings, and the court will be temporarily closed until further notice. Persons will be notified by mail of their new court date. Citizens seeking to resolve their citation(s) can do so in the following ways: (1) Online at trafficpayment.com, (2) by phone at 800-444-1187, or (3) by mailing a money order to P.O. Box 635030, Nacogdoches, Texas 75963. Any questions can be answered by calling the court at (936) 559-2641 or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Are the parks open?
Yes, please exercise all recommended safety protocols when utilizing public spaces. Our park equipment is not regularly sanitized so please be mindful of use.
Is the public library open?
The Nacogdoches Public Library remains closed. Beginning May 26th, customers may begin to reserve items for Order-Ahead Pick-up service, which will begin June 1st. In the meantime, all due dates on library materials have been renewed and no library fines will be assessed in the month after reopening. The library’s downloadable collection has been expanded and library staff is available to provide telephone or email reference.

When will the City museums open?
The Sterne-Hoya House Museum & Library and the Durst-Taylor Historic House & Gardens will re-open on Wednesday, June 3rd. The hours will be 10am - 4pm and all guests are asked to call ahead to schedule a tour.
I am a Customer. How do I purchase and obtain goods from a retail store that has just re-opened?
All businesses approved by Governor Abbott are authorized to operate at 25% capacity. Customers may also purchase items from a retail location for pickup, delivery by mail, or delivery to the customer’s doorstep.
We are planning a family event or worship services. Can we still host it?
It is at your discretion and we recommended following the most recent CDC and Governor Abbot’s guidelines on public gatherings.
I own a small business. What can I do?
The Nacogdoches Economic Development Corporation (NEDCO) is monitoring the small business administration resource programs for information and possible aid for businesses affected by the coronavirus and will release information as soon as it is available. NEDCO staff remain available to answer any questions at 936-559-1255.
Q: I own a dog/cat that is at the Shelter and I need to pick it up. What do I do?
A: Call the Shelter at 936-560-5011 and make an appointment with staff for animal pickup. You can also come to the shelter between 2pm and 6pm to reclaim. We are limiting the number of people in the shelter, so visitors may have a short wait time prior to being invited into the lobby area.
Q: Can I currently purchase a space or speak with Cemetery staff?
A: Yes, the office at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery is open normal business hours (8:00 AM to 5:00 PM). Staff encourages you to call or email before visiting to ensure someone is there to help you - 936-560-5314 or email@example.com.
Q: How much are spaces?
A: Cremation spaces at Sunset Memorial start at $300 each, single spaces are $600 each and upright spaces are $1,400 per pair. At Pine Grove, single spaces are $500 each and upright spaces are $1,200 per pair.
