In 2001 the City saw the need for a staff person to administer grant projects for the City of Nacogdoches and created the position of Grant Coordinator. It is the responsibility of the City of Nacogdoches Grant Coordinator to identify funding opportunities for city projects, prepare the application and administer the grant through close-out. The City of Nacogdoches receives on average $ 1.5 million annually in grant funding.
The City of Nacogdoches Grant Coordinator does not prepare applications for individuals and private agencies and organizations.
