  4. Star Trek Voyager Screening (NEA Big Read Nacogdoches)

    The Station Eleven tagline, “survival is insufficient”, reveals the impetus behind the Traveling Symphony and clarifies the arc of the story. However, the phrase was first uttered in the episode, “Survival Instinct” from Star Trek Voyager. We’ll screen the episode and compare the book to the TV show. Ages 13 years and up. Activity is related to this year’s Big Read Selection, Station Eleven by Emily St. John Mandel. Limited free copies are available at the library.
